Ideas for Music and Sounds

Brainstorm for type of Music:

For our film, music and sound is very important as the choice of Music should show a transition for the characters and setting in our film. For our first scene we are looking for sounds which would convey the sort of themes that will suit the flow of the film.  This could either include:

• Rap
• Grime
• Urban
• RnB/HipHop

We don't just want one sound for our film, we want a variety to show the transition between the main character and his change of surroundings. Other music that we could include in our film are up-beat tempo songs and classical music to show the main character going through a transformation of leaving his old life behind and starting  new one . The music will have a massive effect on the production of the film as this will allow the shots to embed with  the nature of story. The music should make it clear that the main character is going through a deep change and is about to start a new life in a new environment to what he's not used to.

In this case our main character in our story goes through a transition from out in the 'streets' to finally asserting himself into a new path and getting into a very good university and getting a good education and leaving his past behind.
