Order of titles - explanation of order of titles

When a film begins, it usually starts with the "production company ident". For example, in Pretty in Pink the production company ident is the logo of Paramount. After the production company ident, we usually see the name of the film or we start seeing the name of the main actors.

Main actors have their names on their own as they get paid the most and because of how popular they are. They are the more recognisable actors in the films. After these main characters and actors, we start to see the cast written in pairs and then groups as they aren't as important but still hold a certain significance in the film.

After this, we see the people who wrote the scripts, did the makeup, costumes etc.

We see the director's name in the end as the film is his or her point of view and they are the main person who contributed towards the film.
